The 2020 Honda City Obtains 5 Stars In ASEAN NCAP
Honda City, the luxurious sedan by the Japanese carmaker Honda is all set to launch in the coming few weeks, but before the sedan has succeeded in receiving the 5 Star rating in the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme) held recently. During the test, the 2020 Honda City acquired 44.83 points for the adult occupancy, 22.82 points for child occupancy and 18.89 points for the safety features offered in the car. Thus, making the overall score to 86.54 out of 100 points.

The model test during the test has been however developed for the Thailand car market and equipped with safety features like six airbags, an anti-lock braking system and electronic brake-force distribution system, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, emergency stop signal, and a multi-view reverse camera. Moving ahead the G-CON (G-Force control body structure) plays an important role in offering complete protection to the passengers.
Underhood, the Indian version will be offered with BS-VI compliant 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engine options. The new petrol engine generates now generates the power of 119 bhp, which 2 bhp more than the BS-IV variant. The diesel variant develops the power of 100 bhp. The transmission duties in both the variants are performed by a five-speed manual and automatic CVT transmission system.
Speaking about the design of the India bound version it will be a little bit different from the Thailand version. It will be embellished with a full LED lighting system, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a sunroof. These features will be however offered only the top-end variant. Along with this, the most impressive feature offered in the new City will consist of Alex enabled telematics from Amazon and tire pressure monitoring system.
