The new Volkswagen Polo 2014 to debut in July
The generation next Volkswagen Polo hatchback which made its first appearance during the Geneva Motor Show 2014 held in March 2014. After its unveil during the show it was expected that by the middle of this year the hatchback would be launched in Indian car market. It is now reported that company is now going to launch the hatchback during the month of July this year. Although the hatchback has not received major changes but still it is blessed with various interesting changes which will undoubtedly impress the Polo hatchback aspirants.
It would be interested to know that apart from cosmetic changes car maker will introduce major changes in the engine configurations. The 4 cylinder 1.5 litre diesel engine will replace the existing 1.6 litre diesel engine in the Polo GT TDI variant. An interesting feature of new 1.5 litre diesel engine will generate the power of 105 horsepower and torque of 250Nm. On the other side 1.2 litre TSI petrol engine will be introduced in petrol variant. Both the engine would be coated with seven speed DSG transmission system.
Apart from these major changes in engine configurations the hatchback will receive minute cosmetic changes in on the exteriors and interiors of the hatchback which will make the car look something different from existing version of Volkswagen Polo.
