Toyota Etios Cross landing on May 9, 2014: Confirmed
Japanese auto giant Toyota Motors is going to explore the fleet of Etios hood by launching Etios Cross in Indian car market on May 9, 2014. According to sources of company it has started the booking Etios Cross through its dealership network across the country. The upcoming Etios Cross on is based on its elder sibling Liva hatchback with more aggressive look and various dynamic changes at the exteriors and interiors of the vehicle.
The upcoming Cross will be offered in both petrol and diesel engines with options of two engines in petrol version. The petrol variant will be offered with engine options of 1.2 litre and 1.5 litre engine options developing the power of 78 bhp and 88 bhp respectively. On the other side diesel will be energized with 1.4 litre diesel engine churning the power of 67 bhp. It is speculated that company will launch the Etios Cross with starting price starting price between Rs. 5 lakh and Rs. 6 lakh and will compete against existing compacts SUVs like Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and others.
With an objective of give Cross the sportier look company has paid proper attention in designing it and therefore it is equipped with various features like side cladding, newly developed front grille, OVRM adorned with indicators, roof rails, fog lamps, diamond cut alloy wheels etc. Other worth mentioning features offered in Etios Cross includes 2 DIN audio system supporting connectivity with Bluetooth, steering mounted audio controls, piano black colored interiors and many more.
