Toyota Fortuner 2016 spied for first time in India
According to recent reports spies have captured the images of generation next Toyota Fortuner being tested on Indian roads for first time. Although the unit of Toyota Fortuner 2016 spied was completely camouflaged but with this testing it is speculated that Japanese car maker is getting ready to launch the same in Indian car market either during the upcoming festive season or sometimes during the beginning of next year.
The upcoming version of Fortuner is already being sold in South Africa, Middle East, Thailand and Australia. On the exteriors it carries more aggressive looks than compared to its existing model. It has wheelbase of 2,750mm, however the version of Fortuner being sold in Thailand has additional length of 90mm, width of 15mm but about 15mm lower height. The Indian-bound version of Toyota Fortuner will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants with two engine options of 2.4 litre and 2.8 litre four cylinder turbodiesel engine in diesel variant and 2.7 litre VVT-I four cylinder petrol engine. The petrol variant is reported to be mated with six speed automatic transmission system, while the diesel trims will be mated with six speed manual and automatic system respectively.
Inside the cabin it will embellish design philosophy little bit different from Innova Crysta. The top end variants will be equipped with LED DRLs, Down Hill Assist Control (DAC) system, LED projector headlamps, cruise control, electronic driver adjustable seat, reverse camera, push button start/stop, seven inch T-Connect infotainment system with satellite navigation system.
