Toyota to launch fuel cell car in 2015

Soon you will need not to buy a petrol car such as Maruti Alto K10 or a diesel car such as Tata Indica eV2 or Chevrolet Beat Diesel. Thus, fuel prices will have no impact on car sales in the next decade. Bringing the power of the sun to power cars Toyota plans to bring in a passenger car fuelled by hydrogen fuel cell. At the development stage right now, the car will be launched in 2015 and the Japanese car maker hopes to increase production to tens of thousands as soon as the demand for it rises.

Notably, rising fuel prices due to high demand and less supply is worrying car makers across globe and more and more of them are diverting their resources in producing highly fuel efficient cars or alternate energy cars.

The Toyota FCV-R concept fuel car will be a mid size sedan and will have a mileage of 700 km in a single refill of the two hydrogen fuel tank it will have. It will have zero emission. Toyota plans to build these fuel cell cars in high numbers and also plans to build buses and trucks based on fuel cell technology. Notably, Toyota is one of the major car makers that are investing a lot on arriving at a viable alternative fuel technology for cars and its Toyota Prius car which is a hybrid car is known worldwide for its efficiency. Besides this, several other car makers are already pumping in resources to make electric cars and hybrids even better.

Hybrid and electric vehicle technology has little introduction in India and one finds it partially in Mahindra Scorpio in the form of Micro Hybrid and there will be a full manifestation of battery power technology in the form of Mahindra Reva NXR coming this Diwali.

This is really great that we need not to buy petrol and diesel cars. It seems to be very economic.
