Volkswagen Cross Polo 1.2 MPI launched in Indian car market
Germany based car maker Volkswagen has introduced the facelift version of its Cross Polo hatchback in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 6.49 lakhs (ex-showroom price in Mumbai). The new versions named as Cross Polo 1.2 MPI has been offered with 1.2 litre petrol engine that churns the power of 75 bhp and torque of 110 Nm. It is mated with five speed manual gearbox system which forwards the power to front wheels. The exterior and interiors of facelift version have been carried from its diesel sibling that was launched last year.
Addressing the launch of new Polo Cross MPI 1.2, Mr. Michael Mayer, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said that they will add some adventure into the premium hatchback segment with launch of this new Cross Polo. The New Cross Polo will have high levels of safety, vibrant styling and upmarket interiors that will attract buyers, he stated on the launch of the petrol powered Cross Polo.
In the terms of safety feature Polo Cross is equipped with dual front airbags and ABS for safety purpose and it comes with a 4-star NCAP safety rating. The car is being offered in silver, black and the red color and the booking for the same has started from 15th January. The car will be competing with the Hyundai Elite i20 based crossover, Fiat Avventura and Toyota Etios Cross.
