Volkswagen discontinues Polo GT TDI

With facelift Volkswagen Polo to make its debut next month, German car maker has started discontinuing few of its less selling variants from its fleet. Few days the car maker discontinued the trendline variant of the hatchback and now it is reported to discontinue the GT TDI version of Polo from Indian car market. It would be interested to know that Polo GT TSI and Polo GT TDI were highest selling variants of the hatchback. The facelift version of Polo has been witnessed recently fpr several times.

According to authentic sources the GT TDI version will be launched with new 1.5 diesel engine by the end of next month. On the other side the Polo GT TSI i9s performing well in Indian car market with waiting period of more than six months. The TSI is empowered with 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine developing the power of 105 PS at 5,000 rpm and torque of 175Nm at rpm between 1500 to 4000. Its engine is coated with 7 speed DSG automatic gearbox.

The phased out GT TDI variant was equipped with 1.6 litre diesel engine developing the power of 105 PS at 4400 rpm and torque of 250Nm at rpm 1500 to 2500. It was coated with five speed manual transmission system. The facelift Polo is expected to be equipped with various remarkable exteriors and interiors features.
