Volkswagen India launches new ‘Post it’ campaign ahead of Diwali festival
In a yet another move to push the sales of their mass segment cars in India, the German auto giant Volkswagen has launched a new exciting contest. Named as ‘Post it’, the new campaign involves press, digital and out of home media to woo the car buyers in the Indian market. Starting from today, the campaign will run for approximately one month.
All Volkswagen car buyers in India, who have purchased or will be purchasing hatchback Volkswagen Polo and mid-sized sedan Volkswagen Vento during the month of November 2012, will be eligible to participate in this contest. To register in the contest, the eligible Volkswagen customers will need to answer three questions, and those who will be successfully answering these questions right, will be included in a lucky draw.

Speaking on the launch of new campaign, Mr. Lutz Kothe, Head of Marketing and PR, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said that the company is extremely excited about this unique campaign where the company is managed to effectively convert a static medium into a dynamic one across their key markets.

Both Polo and Vento have been the flagship car models of the company in the Indian market since launch of these cars in the country. The hatchback polo, which has been very popular for its fascinating looks among the young car enthusiasts, is competing with the likes of Maruti Swift and Maruti Ritz, Fiat Punto, Ford Figo, Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse, Chevrolet Sail U-VA and Honda Brio. On the other hand, Vento is giving a tough fight to the segment leaders like Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti SX4, while at the same time overtaking the cars like Fiat Linea, Ford Fiesta, Nissan Sunny and Skoda Rapid in sales.
Besides Polo and Vento, the company also sells the cars like iconic Volkswagen Beetle, premium sedans like Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen Jetta, and luxury sports utility vehicle Volkswagen Touareg.
