Volkswagen Jetta petrol, enough of spying, spotting, when is the launch?

Volkswagen Jetta is one of the few cars that were the real votaries of diesel cars in India. Initially, the car has baked on diesel variant alone for its success as it did get it to an extent. VW has tried this formula with Volkswagen Passat as well. VW Jetta and Passat were launched at a time when India had too much a preference for diesel cars and the Germans thought it right to launch only the diesel. But now as the diesel prices are expected to rise after it is decontrolled by the government, Volkswagen is on the brink of Volkswagen Jetta petrol variant launch. The test mules of the petrol variant have been spotted more than often now and the car make is in a mood to launch it soon.

The Jetta TSI as it is popularly called was spotted recently while testing near the Chakan factory of the German car maker. Now there are rumors, as always that Jetta petrol is around the corner and the launch can happen any time. The reason behind bringing the Jetta petrol could be the concern for a peppy petrol version that will be liked by those who prefer some action than what will be left in their wallet. As per the reports, Volkswagen will be launching the 1.4 TSI petrol variant of the Jetta soon. The Volkswagen Jetta diesel model range price starts at Rs 16.34 lakh. Currently Jetta is close rival of Skoda Laura, Chevrolet Cruze, Renault Fluence and Toyota Corolla Altis.

The addition of the petrol variant to the model lineup will make Jetta all the more cheaper and thus it will have an upper hand over its rivals such as Skoda Laura, Renault Fluence and similar others. A 1.6 L Petrol Jetta is also in the offing and it will be the more powerful petrol model of the VW sedan.
