Volkswagen Jetta petrol launch soon, spied again
You have been reading a lot about Volkswagen Jetta petrol and Volkswagen Passat petrol since many months now and now it is round the corner. However, the timing seems to be imperfect when there is sudden increase in petrol prices by Rs 7.50 per litre. It would be very hard for Jetta or the Passat petrol to sustain when the petrol prices are on fire. Currently available in only diesel models, the Jetta launch is round the corner as the car has just been spied with a ‘TSI’ tag on the boot. That means VW is hurrying up before the rise in petrol prices could dampen the petrol car sales in the country.

The Volkswagen Jetta petrol car will be a 1.4 L engine car that will be outputting over 160 PS power and is hoped to start the car’s line up somewhere around Rs 11 lakh. Currently Jetta diesel car price starts at Rs 14.93 lakh. It is also believed that the Jetta petrol launch will be silent and there will not be much hoopla around the launch. Besides, the new Jetta 1.4 TSI will be highly quicker than the diesel car and will have a top speed of around 199 kmph.

As per the initial information available regarding the Jetta petrol car, it will return a mileage of around 11.5 kmpl in the city and 13.6 kmpl on the highways. The entry level Jetta sedan is expected to be really inexpensive and Volkswagen will do everything to price it less so that it will have some debut sales. Also, when the petrol price are so hiked, there is little chance of survival of petrol cars in India and only those who wish to have some response from the accelerator pedal and have lots of rupees in their wallet will buy such cars.
