Volkswagen launches new Edition X on 10th anniversary of Touareg
Volkswagen Touareg, one of the popular luxury sports utility vehicles, completed its 10 successful years in the global market. The SUV was first introduced in the year 2002 at the Paris Motor Show. To celebrate the occasion, the company has rolled-out new Touareg Edition X model with a range of cosmetic upgraded at both interior and exterior fronts. However, there are no changes under the hood of the new edition model.
At the exterior, the major upgrades in new Touareg Edition X model include new 19-inch Moab alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof (slide / tilt) & Bi-xenon headlights in combination with LED day-time running lights. The finishing touch has been given to the outer presence of the vehicle by offering Roof-rails anodized in silver and LED rear light clusters.

Inside, the company has offered a basket full of new features including New Nappa leather trim in Amber brown, doors and instrument panel finished with Real ebony & Edition X branding at illuminated front door sills. Moreover, the combination of leather steering wheel, gear lever gaiter and fabric floor mats give a fascinating look to the interior of new Touareg Edition X.

However, the company is yet to take a decision on launching the new anniversary edition in the Indian market. The company currently imports the Touareg SUV through CBU (completely built unit) route and offers the vehicle with a price tag of Rs 58.5 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. In India, the Volkswagen Touareg model is offered in a single version that comes powered by a 3 Liter, V6 TDI turbo diesel engine. The power packed engine of the vehicle delivers a peak power of 240 Bhp along with a peak torque of 550 Nm. Touareg is equipped with a an 8 speed automatic transmission which is coupled with an efficient all-wheel drive system.
