Volkswagen Polo GT 1.2 TSI reaches dealerships, official launch on April 29
The sportiest and the most powerful GT 1.2 TSI variant of Volkswagen Polo will be launched in India on April 29. According to reports the demo cars have already reached Volkswagen India’s dealerships across the country. The new performance version of the VW Polo 1.2 TSI has already been spied many of times and various details have also been disclosed. It is reported that VW Polo FT 1.2 TSI will direct challenge the high-end variants of Skoda Fabia Scout, Fiat Grande Punto, Maruti Swift, Chevrolet Sail UVA and Toyota Etios Liva TRD Sportivo.
The new VW Polo GT 1.2 TSI powers a 1.2 litres turbo petrol power train which is a successor of Polo's 1.6L petrol engine. This powerful and fuel efficient mill generates max power of 105 bhp along with top torque 175 Nm at 1500 rpm. Power of the engine will be supplied to wheels via a smooth 7 speed DSG gearbox which also promises to offer impressive fuel economy. Exteriors of the hatchback have been made sporty while interiors have been given luxury touch.
The new Volkswagen Polo GT 1.2 TSI features GT TSI badges at door sills, sporty body kit, smoked headlamps, larger alloy wheels, brushed-metal pedals and dual tone interior which make it eye-catchy, sporty and premium hatchback in the segment. This new powerful variant of the vehicle is reported to replace the current 1.6L petrol variant of the German hatchback from Indian auto market. Yet, the company has not disclosed price for this but it will be one of the high-priced version and could fall between Rs 7 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.
