Volkswagen Polo GT TDI with price tag of Rs. 8.08 launched in India
Finally European auto maker Volkswagen has launched the diesel variant of its highly acclaimed and anticipated hatchback Polo GT in Indian auto market and named it as Polo GT TDI. The new Polo GT TDI has been launched after the huge success Polo GT TSI in India. Volkswagen has empowered GT TDI with high powered 1.6 litre TDI engine that is covered with 5 speed manual gearbox with displacement capacity of 1598cc. The engine develops the power of 103 bhp at 4400 rpm and torque of 250 Nm at 2500 rpm. According to sources of company the new Polo GT TDI will be fuel efficient car that will deliver an average of 19.8 kmpl followed by superior performance in its segment. With price rag of Rs. 8.08 lakh (ex-showroom price Delhi) it is expected that unlike GT TSI, TDI variant will also repeat the same success history.
It would be interested to know that Volkswagen has given new exteriors and interiors to GT TDI with fascinating features. The major features customized on exteriors include Halogen headlights garnished with black, GT chrome front grille, apart from this bumpers, handles, mirrors have been blessed with body colored color. The interiors have been developed with more space, supported by scratch resistant plastic that will bless the interiors with long life. Apart from this various parts of the interiors have been garnished with chrome finish. Additional impressive facilities integrated in the interiors include cup holders have capacity of holding bottle up-to 1.5 litre, aluminum pedal cluster, leather covered steering wheel, gearshift handle, and handbrake lever handle, Milan Titanschwarz fabric upholstery and various other features.
Speaking on the launch of Polo GT TDI, Mr. Arvind Saxena, Managing Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India, Pvt Ltd, said that company is company is dedicated to provide fuel efficient vehicles in India that are enriched with latest technical features. According to Mr. Saxena, the new Polo GT TDI has been designed keeping the requirements of Indian customers in concern.
