This is not the first time that VW is participating in any sports event and it has actively taken part in every sports event of whatever nature. Apart from motor sports, the company has also participated in other events such as the IPL season number 4 and the recent fifth season. At that time, VW launched the Polo IPL Edition and the VW Vento IPL Edition to celebrate the season. These limited edition cars were studded with a lot of features and IPL decals and were warmly welcomed by all the Indians. However, the sales were not so encouraging but VW’s participation has reiterated its commitment towards sports.
