Volkswagen Polo receives four stars for safety measures
During last few days there has been lot of things spoken regarding NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) that is applied on every new manufactured in country. It is reported that Volkswagen Polo, the highly acclaimed hatchback from European car maker Volkswagen has succeeded in grabbing four stars in the recent NCAP tests conducted in examining safety issues associated with car. It would be interested to know that recently company had initiated front airbags at standard accessory on all models of Polo existing in market. It should be important to mention that as an impact of this newly added feature Polo succeeded in capturing four stars. This NCAP test was conducted by NCAP agency of Latin America.

During recent Road Safety Conference in Delhi, Mr. David Ward, Secretary General of Global NCAP said, that they appreciate Volkswagen’s initiative of offering air bags as standard accessory in all models of Polo existing in Indian car market. The results revealed from test vouch the relevance of tests that are conducted to assess safety measures introduced in car and encourage customers to go for car which is bestowed with all standard safety measures.
The safety measure which has been recently initiated by company apart from air bags include anti lock braking system (ABS), however this feature is offered in comfortline and highline models of Volkswagen Polo. Available in both petrol and diesel variants, the price of base variant of Volkswagen Polo starts from Rs. 4.99 lakh in petrol variant and ends at Rs. 8.08 lakh for the top GT TDi variant in diesel.
