Volkswagen Polo sales of base variant paused
With an objective of offering enhancing the safety features offered in base variant of Volkswagen Polo, the German car maker has halted the sales of hatchback for few weeks. According to reports received from authentic sources company will recommence the sale within next few weeks.
This step from company has been taken after the recent global NCAP test where most of the Indian cars failed to clear the crash test. As an impact of NCAP result report company announced to equip all its products with front airbags as a standard feature.
On the other side dealers are not sure whether this strategy from company will help in enhancing the sale of Polo as according to them this step from company will help in keeping the value of brand unharmed.
