Low response from the new car buyers in India in the first trimester of the year has depressed the Germany’s one of the most successful vehicle manufacturing company, Volkswagen, making them revise their strategy that may have left a loophole that led to defeat of this brilliant company. The company made a sale of 5,789 units in the month of January this year which had elevated up to 3.38 per cent since January 2011. In the month of February this year the sales figure went down by 7.77 per cent which corresponded to 6,529 units which in the month of March rose as little as 2.85 per cent i.e. 8,326 units of products sales. Mr. Neeraj Garg who is an active Board Member of the Volkswagen Group Sales India reportedly said that this year Volkswagen will undergo a steady phase in which they will do a lot of market study to root out the real cause of their market slowdown and poor performance. He added that last year they had a good appraisal in their market value but they targeted more than what they really had. To make more they opt for emphasizing good after sales services which include better customer facilities and thus, they want to gain profit by satisfying customers’ satisfaction which is not, till now, by any of the car companies to 100 per cent and Volkswagen would try to meet that to the highest extent.
