Volkswagen to launch facelift Jetta by January next year

The German car maker Volkswagen is speculating to soon launch the facelift of Jetta in Indian car market during the first month of 2014. It would be for the first time that Volkswagen would be going through facelift after its inception in 2011. As far mechanical changes are concerned Volkswagen will carry the same engine that prevails in existing model of Jetta. At present Jetta is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant will be energized with same 1.4 litre petrol engine generating the power of 122 PS and torque of 200 Nm. The diesel variant will be equipped with 2.0 litre diesel mill churning the maximum power of 140 PS and generating torque of 320 Nm.

Moving towards the features introduced in facelifts includes newly designed headlight that are carried from its sibling Passat followed by daytime running LED lights arranged in L shape. As far as front fascia is concerned VW has carried the existing bumper and tail lights. With this company will integrate Xenon headlights in top end variant followed by headlight washer, whereas climate control will be common in all variants.

It would be interested to see that how customer’s response to this facelift of Jetta as at the time of its launch in 2011 it had emerged as tough contender for Chevrolet Cruze. However in current scenario Octavia from Skoda had succeeded in receiving warm welcome from customers.
