Volkswagen Touareg launch soon

The pre Diwali showers have already started and it will be cars that will be raining soon. Contributing its part, the German car maker Volkswagen will be launching the new Volkswagen Touareg in the coming weeks. This approximately Rs 52 lakh SUV will be competing with the Volvo XC60. This new SUV has already been unveiled at the Auto Expo held in January this year and since then Indian car buyer as well the industry has been eagerly waiting for it. Call it slump or slack in demand that has hold back its launch in the country. But the recent success of the Audi Q5 and Audi Q7 SUVs have yet again proved that there surely is a good market for the big sized SUVs.

Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Touareg launch will also ascertain VW’s presence in this segment in the country. The 2013 model Touareg will also refresh the model. It will also make Touareg’s presence in comparison to Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Mercedes-Benz ML-Class, Audi Q7 and BMW X5 more robust. The same 3 L 240 bhp engine will be there on the new Volkswagen Touareg but a price cut could be on the cards in order to make it more affordable. Though already it is the cheapest among the above mentioned rivals but a further price slash will make more affordable.
