Waiting period of Honda City Extended
Japanese auto giant Honda Motors had launched the all new Honda City 2014 couple of months back and has received an overwhelming response from all segments in Indian car market. The major attraction of new Honda City apart from integration of new additional features was its launch in diesel variant which had played an incredible role in making the generation next Honda City in Indian car market a massive hit.
But it seems that this huge success is going to prove a curse for company because going through the availability of new Honda City it attracted most of the car aspirants towards itself. As an impact of this the waiting period of Honda City which at the time of booking was four months is now extending and customers have to wait for long period to enjoy the drive of their Honda City. This is also proving to be a curse for company as the prospective buyers of Honda City are shifting towards other options and canceling their bookings.
Commenting on the existing situation company officials said that to cater the problem company is going to minimize the production of its another high selling car Honda Amaze which dramatically changed the fortunes of company with its launch. It would be interested to know that even the Honda had not expected the huge success enjoyed Honda City. According to sources of company they had expected to receive 20% sales from the top end variant of City which on the contrary resulted more than 50%. Similarly the automatic version also made contribution of about 30% in increasing the sales of company.
