2012 Chevrolet Cruze Coming To India

The USA based automobile manufacturer General Motors brand, Chevrolet will be launching a face lifted version of Chevrolet Cruze in the country in 2012. Initially launched in India in the last quarter of 2009; the Chevrolet Cruze was a lifebuoy for General Motors in India. At the time when the rival companies were in the herd of launching made for India cars, the Chevrolet took a courageous stance by rolling out Cruze, which possessed American design concept. Prior to the initial launch Chevrolet seemed to be cynical about the sales of Cruze, but the sedan was sold in numbers and is still selling in the D-segment of the cars. The lifesaver has built its own identity in front of the sedans such as Toyota Corolla, VW Jetta and Skoda Laura.

The all new 2012 Chevy Cruze will not spot any key modifications; the sedan will again be seen sporting that big insignia of Chevrolet in the front. The design of the fog lamps seems to come up directly from Mercedes Benz C- Class in the exteriors. The new interiors this time are in two-tone color and will be featuring LED illumination. In the new Cruze the external noise will be in greater control that leads to a pretty quite inside the cabin and again no worries about the boot space which was as usual; spacious enough.

The Cruze available in the United States carries only petrol engine, but coming to India it will feature a diesel one. The all new face lifted sedan will introduce a new 2.0L, Z-series engine capable enough to generate a power of 163 bhp and a peak torque of around 350 Nm.

Apart from Cruze, Chevrolet also retails Beat, Captiva and Tavera in India.
