88,000 units of Honda Amaze sold so far

The launch of Honda Amaze compact sedan proved to be game changer move from Japanese car maker which within an overnight changed the fortunes of maker. Introduction of Amaze was not less than a boon for company which at one time was witnessing huge decline in sales. Launched last year in April 2013 Honda Amaze is regarded as one of the most successful products of by the Japanese company. It is reported that within the period of about more than fourteen months since its inception Honda Motors has managed to sale out 88,000 units of Honda Amaze in Indian car market.

Addressing the success party of Honda Amaze, Mr. Jnaneshwar Sen, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Sales, HCIL said that launch of Honda Amaze emerged as a scene changer and facilitated company to make its reach to new customers and get them engaged with products of Honda Motors. One thing which needs to be specifically mentioned here is that on average basis company is selling out 6,000 units of Amaze every month and strongly competes with Swift Dzire from MSIL and recently launched Hyunda Xcent from HMIL.

It would be interested to know that the diesel variant of Amaze was the ever first product offered by Japanese car maker in diesel avatar. The Amaze was offered in both petrol and diesel disguises with petrol variant equipped with 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine developing the power of 86 bhp and torque of 109 Nm and coated with five speed manual as well as automatic gearbox. On the other side diesel variant is equipped with 1.5 litre diesel engine blooming the power of 98 bhp and torque of 200Nm, engine is mated with five speed manual gearbox.
