Anand Mahindra's Tweet On Scorpio-N Targets Rohit Shetty
Nobody knows the use of Mahindra’s SUVs better than the Indian Bollywood movie director Rohit Shetty. The internet is full of funny memes with Shetty blowing Mahindra’s SUVs in his movies. Recently one such meme posted on the upgraded Scorpio-N captured the eye of Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, and he has made a funny reply to it.

According to reports, recently Anand Mahindra shared a video of the upcoming Scorpio-N SUV on Twitter. On which the followers started posting memes and comments. Among multiple memes, one meme was related to Rohit Shetty, indicating that this news will excite him and he will love to blow the new Scorpio-N in his upcoming movie. In reply to that, Anand Mahindra tweeted, "Rohit Shetty ji, is gaadi ko udaane ke liye aap ko ek nuclear bomb ki aavashyakata hogi…”. In English, it translates as, "Mr Rohit Shetty you will require a nuclear bomb to blow up this vehicle."

This tweet from Mahindra is a part of the joke, but it certainly reveals his trust in the performance and safety of the new SUV. It would be interesting to know that after the compact SUV XUV300 received a 5-star rating in the Global New Car Assessment Programme, the homegrown carmaker had said, that in the coming future, all of its new models will succeed in scoring 4 or 5 stars in the Global NCAP test. Interestingly, the two vehicles Thar and XUV700 launched by the company scored a 4 star and a 5 star ranking in the Global NCAP test. Therefore it is believed that Scorpio-N will be no exception to this legacy and will receive high star ratings in the Global NCAP test.
The new Scorpio-N is slated for launch on June 27, 2022, and will come with lots of new features. It is the second vehicle by the company after the Thar, which is based on the new ladder-on-frame platform. It is bigger and carries a new design and style, similar to Alturas G4. It will come with lots of new features including LED lighting, sport alloy wheels, a big touchscreen, a digital cluster, auto climate control, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a large panoramic sunroof, and Adrenox connected car technology, a 360-degree camera and a few more.
Under the hood, it will come with two engine options - a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, and a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine. The same engine configurations are offered in XUV700 but develop more power and torque than Scorpio-N. The transmission duties will be performed by a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic torque converter gear system, followed by an option of an all-wheel-drive system, available on the top-spec variants.
