Audi R8 LMX developed with laser headlamps
German luxurious car maker Audi Motors is going to enhance the fleet of its supercar R8 with laser headlamps being mounted on its upcoming variant LMX. The new laser headlamps comprises of one laser module mounted on each headlight generating a cone of light which is double of the range covered by LED headlights. Each module is enriched with four high power diamides generating a blue laser beam having the wavelength of 450 nanometers. From here a phosphorus converter converts light into color temperature of 5,500 Kelvin which is suitable of normal eyes to identify the contrast easily.
The Audi R8 LMX would be energized with 5.2 litre V10 engine developing the power of 577 PS of power and torque of 540 Nm and accelerating the speed from standstill to 100 kmh in the span of 3.4 seconds with top speed of 320 kmh. The engine is coated with seven speed double clutch automatic gearbox and transits power to both front and rear wheels through Quattro System. The supercar will be launched in German car market with price tag of €210,000.
