Best cars in India launched in 2012

2012 has been great for the Indian car industry and there are chances that the upcoming cars in India will be even better. Getting back to the track, in 2012, many car makers came up with some stunning cars and lured every car fanatic. If we look at the new and fresh lot of cars that were launched this year, then there were 10 that stole the show.

10.Chevrolet Sail UVA

The latest one on the block was Chevrolet Sail UVA hatchback, which was launched on 2^nd November. The car was one of the Sail twins and captured the hatchback segment with its class leading mileage figures. The affordable price was also one of the major highlights of the car.

9.Ssangyong Rexton

Prior to Sail, Ssangyong Mahindra Rexton SUV was rolled out on 17^th October. This one came loaded with plenty of high class features and stunning looks made it more popular and alluring.

8.Nissan Evalia

On 26^th of September Nissan Evalia MPV came up, which directly gave a tough competition to Maruti’s Ertiga. The sliding rear doors made it quite prominent in the Indian car bazaar.

7.Mahindra Quanto

September 20^th was the day for Mahindra Quanto SUV launch. In 2011, the same month belonged to XUV500, which was a huge success. The Quanto SUV is one of the most affordable compact SUVs in the country. Quanto’s appearance might remind you of Xylo, but the SUV is perfect for anyone who is working on a tight budget.

6.Mercedes Benz B Class

18^th of September was owned by Mercedes Benz. On this day, the carmaker launched Mercedes Benz B Class MPV. This is the cheapest and the smallest Merc in the company’s Indian portfolio. The car has a drivability of a sedan along with versatility of the mini MPV.

September 7^th belonged to Renault as it came up with Renault Scala sedan. This premium sedan was basically the rebadged version of Nissan Sunny sedan. The diesel and petrol engine options made it practical, while the looks and drivability lured the consumers towards it.

4.Renault Duster

On 4^th of July, the French automaker, Renault came up with its SUV Duster. This affordable SUV created a strong position in the Indian car bazaar for Renault. 3.Audi Q3

The youngest Q range car Audi Q3 was launched on June 6^th. This compact SUV features 2.0 litre TDI engine producing 174 BHP of power output. But the major highlight of this car was the 7-speed S-TRONIC transmission that provided the car superb drivability.

2.Maruti Ertiga

India’s top car maker brought in its most awaited MPV, Maruti Ertiga. This was received so much praise and appreciation from the consumers that it made Maruti to fetch the title of becoming the 2^nd largest UV maker in the country today. However, upcoming cars in India 2013 might bring in some heavy competition for the car.

The month of April belonged to BMW Mini. BMW launched the entire Mini range of cars, which included Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper S, Mini Cooper Countryman and Mini Cooper Convertible.
