BMW and Toyota to together develop a sports car
Both BMW and Toyota are a well-known car brands across the globe. Now, they have joined hands to develop something new, which every car aspiring consumer dream of. They have signed a contract, which states that the car makers will together develop new mid-sized sports car along with developing the much needed green technologies. This contract was signed by the companies recently. The green technology here is basically working on the batteries for the cars that incorporate lithium-air type as well. As it is known Toyota Motors has recently grabbed the honor of being the top most car manufacturer in the world.

Furthermore, Toyota and BMW together are also aiming to develop an all-encompassing fuel cell powertrain, which is expected to be completed by the year 2020. Coming back to the mid-sized sports car, this project has been in the back seat since a long time now. But, now it appears that this sports car will see the sunshine very soon.
Another rumor that captured our mind was that this new mid-sized sports car might come with green technology making it similar to GT-86. All we wish is that this should be affordable and economical, which will certainly make the consumers much more attracted towards it. However, on the other hand, the Indian consumers shouldn’t keep their hopes high for this one as it will not hit the Indian car market anytime soon, not at least till the time charging stations are developed in India.
On the other hand, BMW had launched BMW X1 Face-lifted variant in Indonesia. Apparently, the car maker will bring this X1 Crossover to India by the end of this year. Hopefully, the green technology is worked upon quickly and comes to India soon. Right now in the name of electric car, we only have Mahindra Reva that is soon to be re-launched with new name plate i.e. Mahindra Reva E2O.
