India seems to be getting mini this year. This is what the BMW Mini car sales suggest. Despite of a slowdown in the industry and other factors negating any recovery, the German car maker was able to sell a total of 300 units and this is expected to be a worth achievement. Sensing this craze and success of BMW Mini cars in India, the car giant has decided to expand its dealer network in the country. In India, the BMW Mini Cooper, BMW Cooper S, BMW Mini Convertible and BMW Mini Cooper Countryman are the models that are offered and these cars are translating their worldwide success in here as well. The BMW Mini price range starts from Rs 24.9 lakh.

Thus it can also be said that the BMW Mini series of cars have added to the success of the car giant in the country and it could be possible, that the Mini has a significant contribution in keeping the numero uno position of the car maker. Now that the German car maker is soon to expand its network in the country, it expects that the year 2014 will have more sales. As per some experts, next year, BMW Mini cars could touch a sales target of around 500-600 cars annually as it will be the luxury car segment that will witness the highest number of activity in the coming years.

In order to tap the rising demand, the car maker will also be launching new models of the Mini cars. The car maker plans to have around four more dealerships by the end of 2014. Currently, it has four dealers situated in the major cities. It is also believed that in order to meet the rising competition by Audi and Mercedes Benz, the car maker could think of lowering the price of the car by assembling some of the Mini models in the country.
