BMW recalls X5 and X6 models in the US
Bavarian Motor Works (BMW) has recalled its BMW X5 and BMW X6 models from the market in the US due to mechanical error. The auto industry sources said that the decision has been taken to avoid any accident to take place due to mechanical error. The mechanical error in the car could lead to fire. In some of the cars the company registered complaint of power steering fluid leak. The recall would affect BMW X5 and X6 models which are diesel powered as the leaked steering fluid might fall on hot part of the engine that could lead to fire.

The sources said that there are a round 2,642 BMW X5 and BMW X6 in the US which would be recalled due to mechanical error. It is not for the first time that the BMW has recalled its vehicles. Over the transmission issue, the BMW X5 diesel was recalled in the past too. There were other problems in the vehicle including fuel filter problems and emission standards. The BMW X5 and BMW X6 which would be recalled were manufactured between April 20, 2012 and May 29, 2012. The media reports suggest that the company would contact the owners of its vehicles to know if there is any mechanical error in steering gear and would replace the steering gear if needed.

BMW X5 can be rated as one of the top SUV’s in the market. It is tough and from outside it looks like muscular tough body. If talking about space in it, it offers comfort to the passengers as it has lot of space for luggage too. The engine is also powerful. BMW X6 can give tough time to any sports car as it has got a powerful engine. But, the space inside is limited as it has 4 seat setup. The BMW is known for its luxury vehicles.
