BMW X1 Crossover Facelift on its way, launch Jan next year

The Q family of Audi may be enjoying the sunshine recently and the Audi Q2 may be flooding the sales chart with numbers but the top player BMW seems to have decided to put a check on this popularity. BMW is soon to launch the new model of the BMW X1. The launch of this new model of X1 is expected to be around January next year and it is expected to have a slight price concession as the car maker wishes to import it in India as a completely knocked down unit form. Thus the current price of X1 that starts at Rs 22.40 lakh could be revised by upto Rs 50k to 60k.

The urgency of the X1 facelift can be gauged by the growing popularity of the Q3 SUV by Audi. This SUV has been very successful and it is gaining much response in India recently as the market has seen an overall preference for sports utility cars. Others cars that will dislike the new X1 launch will be the Benz A Class and B Class. The 2013 X1 will have new features besides improved styling that will make it more attractive than the present generation. The new X1 will have an improved front with changes expected on the headlights, bumper, fog lamps and the grille. On the inside, the car will have an improved attire and some new gadgets could make their way. It is said that BMW could revise the dashboard layout as well.
