BMW X4 launch at the Detroit Auto Show in Jan next year

BMW is surely on an expansion spree and its X family is what will be getting the most number of new entrants. The latest will be BMW X4 that has been the talk of the town for almost a year now. As per the latest update, the new X family member X4 will be launched at the upcoming summer of motoring – Detroit Auto Show starting January 14 next year. This new member is believed to be a worth addition as people still feel a void between the BMW X5 and the BMW X3. The new member will not only fill the vacuum but will also be proving the much needed scope in the segment that has been untouched. Back in India, the BMW X3 and the smallest BMW X1 are doing wonders for the car maker and holding it at the top slot in the luxury car market.

As per the latest information released by BMW, the new car in the X family will have a different styling than other family members and thus it can be said that it will be a totally new car with new styling and a lot of class leading features. Internationally, the car will be taking the Porsche Macan head on. The latest reports suggest that the new design will be different from its X3 sibling. The monocoque platform will be used and engine line up will be borrowed from X3 to keep it frugal as well as affordable. Besides, this will also help BMW cut cost in the development and then production of the X4.

The top of the line X4 variant could derive an engine option from X5 and there will be the M model. Thus, the new SUV from BMW will not only be giving a new option to people but it will pose to be one of the differently designed but will have the genes of the X family.
