Celerio will be the name of Maruti A Star replacement
As reported earlier from the sources of country’s leading car manufacturing company MSIL that it will unveil the modified version of its hatchback A-Star (codenamed as YL7) during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo, replacing its existing hatchbacks A-Star and Zen Estilo. Now the latest update regarding the upcoming generation next A-Star is that MSIL has founded a suitable name for this new car and now instead of calling it as YL7 it will be known as Celerio. According to reports Suzuki had unveiled the A Wind concept hatchback during the Thailand International Motors Show and its first variant may be introduced during the upcoming auto expo.Suzuki recently unveiled the A-Wind Concept at the Thailand International Motor Show, and the production version of this model is the same which will make its world debut at the 2014 Auto Show.

The upcoming Celerio will be equipped with company existing engine configuration i.e., 1.0 litre 3 cylinder K series petrol engine developing the power of 67 bhp and torque of 90 Nm. The power to front wheels will be transmitted through four speed automatic transmission system followed by five speed manual transmission system. It is expected that this company may enhance the performance of engine and making it more fuel efficient and high performing.
It would be interested to know that company has been using Celerio as a suffix attached with Alto in some global car markets. It is speculated that MSIL may start immediate selling of Celerio in market after unveiling it during the auto expo 2014. According to reports the new Celerio will carry its design from the A Wind concept hatchback and will be longer and spacious as compared to A Star.
