Chevrolet Aveo based Vida sedan launched, India to get Sail to replace Aveo soon

Chevrolet Aveo that is practically searching for some buyers these days is in fact not the latest generation car n India. The entry level sedan offering by the American car maker did not ever saw a bright day but it is no less in features as compared to other players in the market including Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo etc. Now the latest buzz about the Chevrolet sedan is that Ukraine based automaker ZAZ has infused new life into Aveo by launching Vida. The Vida is the remodeling of the latest generation Aveo. In India, the new generation Aveo is still awaited and it is expected that it will be launched in the mid of this year in the form of Chevrolet Sail. The Vida is priced at $11,300 in Ukraine and it comes out to be Rs 5.7 lakh which is just similar to the Aveo price in India.

If the entire Chevrolet line up has some mute spectator it is the Chevrolet Aveo that first in the absence of a new generation and secondly due to petrol only offering is just increasing the number of product offerings and nothing more than that. However, the CNG and Chevrolet Aveo LT with ABS have attracted some buyers but these are also limited. On the other hand the other players such as Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 are quite busy in production and sales. Another reason why Aveo sales could not pick up is that it essentially lacks a diesel motor and specially in such times when petrol price have crossed all barriers and still it is ready to touch the sky anytime.

The Vida version of Chevrolet Aveo is on the other hand filled with features to make it an instant hit. There is no problem with the brand as it is one of the most trusted ones. In Ukraie, Vida is launched in 1.3L, 1.4 L. 1.5 L engine options while a hatchback avatar of the same (just like Chevrolet U-VA in India) is in the offing.
