Chevrolet Cruze, unveiled before New York Motor Show 2014
Embellished with various remarkable features General Motors has unveiled the all new Chevrolet Cruze 2015 quite early before the commencement of New York Motor Show, scheduled to begin from April 18, 2014. According to reports the new Cruze 2015 which is unveiled does not carry any signs of Cruze which are designed for Chinese car market. However one thing which could be said confidently about Chevrolet Cruze 2015 is that it gets more dynamic and aggressive looks as compared to existing version of Cruze. After launch it will compete against new Skoda Octavia, Renault Fluence, new Toyota Corolla Altis and Hyundai Elantra. In India it is expected to be launched by the end of this year or by beginning of next year.
The new Cruze continues the existing engine configuration of 2.0 litre VCDi turbo diesel engine churning the power of 166 PS and torque of 380Nm, coated with six speed manual transmission system. It is speculated that Indian arm of General Motors may also offer 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol engine churning the power of 140 PS and torque of 200Nm. The major features offered in new Chevrolet Cruze include high defined seven inch infotainment system supporting connectivity with USB port, 3G and 4G connectivity, built in Wi-Fi, reverse parking camera followed by reverse parking sensors, built in navigation, newly designed cup holders, trunk release integrated on central console, 10 airbags and various more. On the other side exteriors receive L shape chrome grille, day time running lights, followed by newly developed head and tail lamps.
According to Mr. Steve Majoros, Director, Chevrolet Passenger Car and Crossover Marketing, this time company has made Cruze a multi furious vehicle which is blessed with enhanced features, connectivity and efficiency designed according to customers requirement in current scenario.
