Chevrolet Sail Springo EV lunched
It was just a few days ago that the American car maker has launched the Chevrolet Sail UVA in India and now it has launched the electric car version – Sail Springo EV in China. The car being the first endeavor by the JV between Chevrolet and Sail China and it is expected that the car will be an instant hit. In India, though the car could take time to launch and its acceptance could also be a little slow as the country is not used to electric cars. However, there could be a rapid transformation as soon as the Mahindra Reva NXR aka Mahindra E20 is launched in India. The Sail Springo EV has been launched at the Guangzou Auto Show. The Sail Springo EV price in China starts at an India rupees equivalent of Rs 23 lakh.

In the meantime, the Sail UVA launched recently is getting popular day by day and all those who are pitched off with the long booking queue for Maruti Swift have come to Sail UVA. Also, the car offering is getting popular following its features including large space, big storage space and high mileage. Also the availability in diesel option has increased its prospects of a win win situation in India. Though the Indian Sail UVA is different from the Sail sold in China but it has a lot of design as well feature similarities that preserve the unique selling point of the car.

The Sail Springo EV small car is developed with technological inputs from PATAC which is a leading automotive technology company. The Springo EV is powered by 114 hp electric motor that gets power from Li-ion battery pack. The car also has break energy regeneration technology which is a worth addition in cars of this segment. The best part of the Sail EV is its pick up. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 10 seconds and it has a top speed of 130 kmph.
