Chevrolet Sail: Third generation launched in Chinese car market
With an objective to enhance its sales in Chinese car market, U.S. based car maker General Motors revealed the new version of its compact sedan Sail with starting price of 59,900 Yuan (Rs. 6.16 lakh) with price of top end variant pricing 118.700 Yuan (Rs. 12.12 lakh). The upgraded version has receives “3” as moniker to replicate that this version represents third generation Sail which is ahead of its existing version.
Under the bonnet the Sail 3 receives two engine options of 1.3 litre boosting the power of 99 bhp and 1.5 litre four cylinder petrol engine that churns the power of 109 bhp. Cosmetic changes that have adorned in new compact sedan include newly developed tail lights and rear bumper at rear portion. On the front portion it receives new pair of headlights, enlarged grille, new alloy wheels along with wing mirrors. Apart from this car maker has offered various other contemporary changes in the vehicle.
The Sail 3 has been dispatched for sale in Chinese car market with immediate effect. As far as Indian car market the second generation Sail is reported doing well and therefore chances of its launch in India are very less.
