Chevrolet Sail UVA launched, Enjoy and Sail Sedan coming

It seems that Chevrolet has decided to make India it homeland. It also seems that after the launch of the Chevrolet Sail UVA and the inspiring response that the car has received in the initial days of the launch since November 2 seems to force the car maker to plan more car offerings for this growing market. Now, as per the latest information from sources, the American car giant will be launching the Chevrolet Sail Notchback and Chevrolet Enjoy MPV early next year. Where the Sail Notchback will be a Chevrolet Cruze lookalike, the Enjoy MPV will be having a close fight with Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova and other MPVs in India.

The Sail NB as it is called will be the third offering from the Sail stable after the Sail UVA, Sail sedan. The Enjoy on the other hand will be a new offering and the eight seater car will seriously change the face of MPVs in India. However, its late entry will mar its prospects as other MPVs will fast settle in the market. The Ertiga is already a hit, the Innova no doubt is a leader, Mahindra Xylo and Chevrolet Tavera are also doing good and Nissan Evalia is getting a more than anticipated response. Thus the Enjoy MPVs entry will be considerably late and it could be possible that by that time, other cars will capture a major section of the segment.

Meanwhile, the Sail UVA is getting benefitted by the rising waiting period on Maruti Swift. The car launched at a price starting at Rs 4.44 lakh is seen as an excellent option to Swift as it has more features to offer than the Indian car. Also, Chevrolet has tried to preserve the same best selling factor in the Indian version of the Sail. In addition to class leading seating and boot space, the car also promises a lot of comfort and top notch performance on road. Experts believe that the 1.2 L petrol and the 1.3 L diesel engine options are seen as the big plus for this car.

xvii My previous hatch left me dissatisfied with so many things missing. Not so powerful and cramped from the inside…! Sail U-VA seems to be the best VFM hatch in the market at the moment.. <br />
