Chevrolet Tavera Neo3 spied, launch in mid of this year
Chevrolet Tavera is undoubtedly one of the best selling General Motor's car in India besides Chevrolet Beat Diesel and Chevrolet Spark small car. Reason: affordable price, good mileage and an excellent brand backup. Now, Chevrolet is soon to launch the new version of Chevrolet Tavera. Recently it was caught testing in Gujarat and later it was known that it is the BS4 version of the Chevrolet MPV. The new version of Chevrolet MPV called Chevrolet Tavera Neo3 was unveiled at the Auto Expo in January and it is nearing launch soon.
In addition to the one mule spotted in Gujarat, the new Tavera has been spotted again and again since then and this hide and seek indicate that it is heading for new inning. The new Tavera Neo3 thus spotted is reportedly the more advanced version and it has ICML sourced engine under the hood. The 100PS engine is both high on performance and mileage compared to the one in the BS3 versions which will continue to have the 2.5L motor. The new Neo3 will be sold in India alongside the GM-Wuling Hong Guang which will be launched in India in the mid of this year.

With the Chevrolet Tavera Neo3 in and the GM-Wuling Hong Guang on its way and the Maruti Ertiga soon to launch in March this year, experts believe that there will be a price war among the MPV cars in India just as there is soon to trigger among the SUVs in India. The Neo3 will be launched sometime late this year or early 2013. In the GM brigade, Neo3 will be the third addition after the addition of GM-Wuling Hong Guang and its junior GM-Wuling Hong Tu.
Among other features that will be on the new Neo3 are new headlamps that are clear lens type besides a dual tone body coloring and characteristic gold colored bumpers. On the inside, the Neo3 will have soft feel plastics, leather upholstery and it will continue to be a seven seater with seven captain seats. The new Neo3 will have a major localization factor and so we can expect an attractive price by the American car maker.
