Chevrolet Trailblazer launched in South Africa

If there is any car that is after the Toyota Fortuner, it is the Chevrolet Trailblazer. If not in India, the American car maker has launched the SUV in South Africa in order to start the countdown of the dethroning of the Fortuner SUV that is more than famous in there. Notably, the Trailblazer SUV is one of the highly anticipated cars in India and it is just a matter of time when the car giant launches it in the country where SUVs are high in demand. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Captiva is not doing so well as expected and again it is due to the Fortuner that has literally overcome the SUV market in India as well.

In order to make it more value for money Chevrolet is offering longer kilometer cover as well as extended warranty as compared to the Fortuner and thus making it more attractive. The Trailblazer price in South Africa starts at Rs 22.31 lakh and is sold in both petrol and diesel engine options. There are two diesel engine options viz. 2.5 L and 2.8 L while there is only one option on petrol i.e. 3.6 L. This means that those who wish to have the Trailblazer and do not want too much power can get hold of the 2.5 L and 2.8 L models while those who are power crazy and want a sensational engine under the hood can buy the 3.6 L V6 engine.  

In addition to the Fortuner, the Trailblazer will also be competing with the Mitsubishi Pajero. Now that the Chevrolet SUV is in the South African market, it is believed that it will be a great spoilsport for the two rivals. First due to the price and secondly following the features as well as the high warranty Chevrolet is offering on it.
