Facelift Ford Fiesta coming this month
After unveiling facelift Fiesta sedan during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 held last month, Ford India is speculating to launch the sedan in Indian car market sometimes during the third week of this month. Reports also reveal that most of the Ford dealers located in Delhi and Mumbai have also hinted that company will start handing over the car to the buyers by the end of this month. The facelift Fiesta will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants equipped with existing engine configurations of 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines.
The petrol engine develops the power of 108 bhp and torque of 140 Nm, while the diesel version produces the power of 89 bhp and torque of 204 Nm. The engines will be coated with five speed manual transmission system, with petrol engine expected to be mated with six speed automatic gearbox as an option. The major changes offered in facelift Fiesta have been integrated on exteriors and the interiors of vehicle.
The front portion has been decorated with chrome painted Aston Martin esque front grille, newly designed angular headlamps, newly designed fog lamps, new bonnet etc. Moving towards the rear portion receives redesigned tail lamp treatment, chrome garnished bumper, new bootlid and many more. Moving towards the interiors steering wheel has been redesigned, piano black central console etc. After launch the car will compete against Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City and SX4 from Maruti.
