Fiat Linea gets the much-awaited facelift
Fiat Linea has got the much needed facelift internationally. In the present state since 2007, Italian sedan eagerly wanted a makeover. However, if one looks at the new Linea, his eyes have to search for changes. Only the most obvious changes i.e. the bumper and the front appearance of the car has been given a touch of newness. With the facelift, the Linea also got a new grille and a new lip spoiler along with new bumpers at the rear and refreshed tail lamps. The new Fiat Linea is yet to be launched in India and it is expected this year.

Notably, Fiat Linea is one of the two car offering by the Italian car maker in India and the Linea sincerely needed a makeover. The other car is Fiat Punto which is a small hatchback car in the premium segment. Both the cars are unable to put up some exciting numbers on the sales chart. However, recently Fiat has decided to open exclusive showrooms of Fiat cars in India. Currently, Fiat cars are put up at the Tata car showrooms in India. It is expected that separating itself from Tata will help the car maker step up its sales. An expansion of dealerships is also on the cards and will be completed by the year end.

The New Linea is all the more refreshing than the outgoing model. Catering to the C Segment, the car proposes class performance and Italian comfort and technology is at its best in Linea. It is ironical to note that when Fiat’s 1.3 L multijet engine is a hit among Indian cars such as Maruti Swift, Tata Indica Vista and other the most probable recent addition being Premier Rio SUV and Fiat is not able to sell its cars in good numbers. In order to come out of this jinx, Fiat has decided to boost the marketing of its cars and is also expected to add more offerings in the near future. An expansion drive is already on and a Fiat Caffe was recently opened in New Delhi for product promotion and brand awareness.

Happened to sit at the rear for an weekend outing, rear seats of Linea are amazingly comfy with a high seating position, under thigh support of a long squab and a perfectly angled back rest.
