Fiat to launch New Linea and Punto before Delhi Auto Expo
There were reports earlier that on the 3rd of January 2012, Fiat India will launch the face-lifted duo of its unmatched vehicles in the name of Fiat Linea sedan and Fiat Grande Punto hatchback. This news now has the validation from the company as it will go ahead with the plans to uncover its 2012 versions of Fiat Linea sedan and Fiat Grande Punto on the same date, but without any changes in the appearance.
Although, the Italian carmaker will not make it to the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo that is scheduled on 5th January 2012, but by launching the models couple of days prior to the exposition it will blow the trumpet indicating the commencement of auto carnival with Fiat vehicle launches. Both the Fiat vehicles will be loaded with some never-seen-before features and among the two, Linea sedan will have more addition of new elements as compared to hatchback Punto.

Fiat Linea will now be available in an all new exclusive ‘Blue’ color and will have an increased ground clearance of 185 mm. Also, there were some feedbacks given by the consumers about the air-conditioner not working up to the mark, therefore it is been replaced with an enhanced cooling system. New headlamps with automatic On/Off feature together with rain sensing wipers are placed on the frontage of the car. The owners of the base variant can also cheer up as the new light colored two-tone beige interiors are now kept standard on all variants.

An improved version of air-conditioner, same as sedan Linea, will replace the outdated cooling system in the Fiat Grande Punto. To ensure better ride quality on the bumpy roads the ground clearance is enlarged to 195mm in the Punto 1.2L and 185 mm in the Punto 1.4L. The Italian beauty will also be seen dressed up in a selected ‘Blue’ shade.
