Ford May Launch Facelift of Fiesta by 2014 in Indian Car Market
If everything goes according to the planning than Ford may launch the facelift edition of Fiesta in 2014. The existing variant of Ford Fiesta in Indian car market was launched in 2011, but did not succeeded in making its position in heart of the Indian car lovers, which has inspired company to introduce the facelift version in market. The facelift version will be empowered with 1.5 litre petrol engine that will churn the maximum power of 107 Bhp developing the torque of 140 Nm. On the other side the facelift version of diesel variant will be enriched with existing 1.5 litre engine generating the power of 89 Bhp and torque of 204 Nm. The petrol variant will be available in option of five speed manual transmission system, and six speed automatic transmission system, whereas the diesel variant will be equipped with five speed manual gearbox.
The revamped bumper is supported by rejuvenated fog lights giving it an eye catching look. The bonnet has been supported by revitalized head lights. As far as the sides of facelift version are concerned they are same as in the existing version with minute changes introduced at A and B pillar. The rear has been upgraded with new tail lights making it more stylish.
One thing which could be of concerned is the price, although till now not much has been revealed by the company, but it is expected that Ford may price the facelift version something around Rs. 7 lakh. It would be interested to know that till now Ford has not succeeded in making its position in hearts of Indian customers to great extent, however with this facelift of Fiesta it is expected that it will help company to achieve its objective some extent. Facelift of Ford Fiesta will prove to be a strong contender for Hyundai, Volkswagen and Honda.
