Honda Amaze, a strong competitor for sure
Honda India has given a hint that its Brio Sedan might get launched by 2013 with a brand new name Honda Amaze. But the car has already filled the air with numerous rumors and if we look at the specifications and features, the car will be facing a pretty hard-hitting competition in the market. The main competitors of Honda Amaze (Brio Sedan) comprise of Tata Indigo eCS, Maruti Swift Dzire and Mahindra Verito CS. So far the company hasn’t revealed much of a detail about the sedan, but with the available information, we feel that Honda Amaze would be quite an impressive one amongst all the above mentioned contenders.
Let’s start with the price. Honda Amaze price is not been out in the open so far, but according to the rumors in the market, the car might come out with a price tag of Rs. 5 lakh. On the other hand its challengers have competitive prices as well. Mahindra Verito CS is available for a starting price of Rs. 5.21 lakh, while Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Indigo eCS are tagged with a price of Rs. 4.88 lakh and Rs. 4.77 lakh respectively. So prices of all these are very close and might become a very tough choice for the consumers to choose from.
Engine is another point that has to be taken into consideration. Apparently, Honda Amaze will be launched with a 1.2 litre of petrol engine that would give out decent power and torque. The diesel variant is also expected from Honda with Brio Sedan and likely to be powered by a dynamic diesel engine. If we look at the competition, all of them are available in diesel and petrol variants. Mahindra Verito CS has Petrol variant with 1.4 litre MPFI unit, while the diesel one has 1.5 litre of diesel mill. Maruti Swift Dzire petrol has 1.2 litre engine, while the diesel variant has 1.3 litre DDiS engine. Finally, Tata Indigo eCS, which has 1.2 litre MPFI petrol engine option and 1.4 litre TDi diesel engine option. Here, according to us, Honda Amaze seems to be on the right path.

The mileage is another important point, which plays a valuable role when buying a car. Honda Amaze is expected to give out a decent mileage, while its competitors are successful luring the consumers by delivering awesome mileage and impressive performance. Therefore, Honda might need to work on the mileage portion thoroughly and come up with efficient fuel economy.
As we saw in the teaser of Honda Brio, the sedan absolutely looks stunning. So we can say that the car might become quite successful in luring one and all with its fab looks. Even on the inside, the car is expected to be blessed with numerous comfort features starting from efficient AC, power steering to 2-Din audio system, ABS, BA and airbags. Consequently, the competitors will have to buckle themselves up and be scrupulously prepared to face the strong and very interesting Honda Amaze.
