Honda Amaze launch on April 11, bookings commence
It is exactly a week away. It is the first Honda diesel car. It will have the class leading mileage in diesel in India. It is none other than Honda Amaze. Scheduled to be launched on April 11, Amaze booking have commenced and people are swarming in Honda dealership with cash in their hand for booking this car. Since this is the first Honda diesel car, everybody is keen to see how it looks and how it will perform. Also, being a Honda car, its performance is undoubted. Expected to be priced a little more than Maruti Swift Dzire, this compact sedan is ready to be a segment leader.

Since there is a diesel revolution in the country going on and it is diesel cars that are selling like hotcakes compared to their petrol variants, the Amaze diesel variants are expected to sell well than the Amaze petrol models. As per the latest information, the Honda dealers are accepting Rs 21k as booking amount for this new Honda car and further information suggests that deliveries are expected to being sometime in May first week. The most striking thing about this car is its iDTEC diesel engine that returns as high as 25.8 kmpl mileage which is more than the Tata Indigo eCS or the Maruti Swift Dzire.

Based on the Honda Brio hatchback, this compact sedan will be the entry level Honda sedan in India. Also, being the first diesel car, it is believed that the car maker will be getting huge response even at a time when the overall sales are in a very bad condition in the country. It is expected that the car maker will be able to replenish all the loss it had since 2011 when the petrol car sales in India started to slid.
