Honda Amaze launched, price starts at Rs 8.19 lakh
It was imminent and it was much needed. Honda has finally launched the Honda Amaze compact car in Thai market. Initially offered in petrol only version, the Amaze is going to transform the way Honda was seen before. Where the compact sedan offers space for 4-5 adults, it is not at all heavy on one's pocket as well. It offer a mileage of 20 kmpl and most important thing is the price of the car – the Honda Amaze price starts at Rs 8.19 lakh equated in India rupees. The launch has been sensational and soon, the car is going to change the fate of Honda in India as here it will also be launched in diesel version. The Amaze will be the first Honda car that will have a diesel engine option.
As it is based on Brio small car, the Amaze boasts to offer the same amazing performance and mileage. Apart from a long wheelbase, the car is truly not so compact car as it looks as there is comfortable seating space for five adults. In India, the car will be competing with Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo CS and the upcoming Mahindra Verito CS which is just round the corner. Honda cars have been very successful in India with Honda City as one of the best selling sedan here. With the introduction of the Amaze, Honda will prove that it responds to the needs of India and a diesel version is expected to be the highest selling Honda car.

The Amaze launch is also crucial from the point of view that it is the first car for India that will have a diesel heart. Currently, it is being launched in petrol only version. A 90 hp 1.2L iVTEC engine powers the just shorter than 4 meter car. In India, the Amaze will have excise concessions as well and thus the Amaze price in India is expected to be lower than its international launches.
