Honda Amaze launching tomorrow

Honda Motors is in news for its Brio sedan since a long time now. The automaker is all set to ‘Amaze’ with Honda Amaze. The new Honda Amaze will be launched in Thailand tomorrow with a starting price tag of around Rs. 8.18 lakh. Way before the worldwide launch, the Honda’s official page in Thailand had posted the pictures of Brio sedan. Therefore, it just confirmed the news that the car launch is around the corner. The top end variant of the sedan will be offered for Rs. 9.39 lakh approximately. Under the hood, the engine of the car is said to be designed and developed by the Honda’s ex-F1 team, which means impressive fuel efficiency could definitely be expected from it.

Besides this, not much information has been revealed by the firm about Honda Amaze. In Thailand, the sedan will arrive with a 1.6 litre diesel engine that comes under Honda’s Earth Dreams project. The same diesel engine is also present in new Honda Civic in Europe.

Honda Amaze will be offered in four variants in Thailand, comprising of S MT, V MT, S AT and V AT. So far, the Indian launch of the car hasn’t been finalized. But if rumors are to be believed, the Honda Amaze will hit the Indian shores by 2013. In India, it will be launched with petrol and the new diesel engine. The car would be up against Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo eCS, Mahindra Verito CS and Toyota Etios.

The pricing of the car in India is still unknown, but it would be extremely crucial for firm to put a very competitive and economical price for Honda Amaze. The competition is tough and to make Amaze amazing in India, the pricing has to be right.
