Honda Amaze price increased by up to Rs 8000
Honda India has hiked the prices of Honda Amaze sedan by Rs 3,000 to Rs 8,000. Along with Amaze sedan, the company has also hiked the prices for luxury SUV, Honda CR-V by Rs 6000 to Rs 14000. The increased prices of Honda cars are effective from 1st June 2013. The company has already raised prices of the City by Rs 3,000, Brio by Rs 2,000-10,000 and Accord by Rs 5,000 in April this year.

It is the first price hike for Honda Amaze after its launch in India in April 2013 at introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). Since launch the beast has been bread-butter and best seller for the Japanese auto major. In the month of May this year Honda India reported a sales growth of 9.8 per cent at 11, 342 units against the sales of 10,334 units in same month of previous year. Sales of Amaze in last month stood at 6036 units.

Honda Amaze is the first diesel sedan car in India by Japanese auto giant which is being offered in 10 variants including 6 variants of petrol model and 4 variants of diesel trim. Its diesel model is loaded with world known and very well admired 'Earth Dream Technology' based 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine. Meanwhile, the petrol model has a 1.2L, 1198cc, i-VTEC petrol powertrain under the hood.
