Hyundai i30: Rumored to be launched on Diwali this year
Encouraged from the success of its recent launches Hyundai Grand i10 last year and Hyundai Xcent this year, HMIL the Indian division of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is speculating to bring the new member Hyundai i30 in its family of “ i ” hatchbacks running successfully in Indian car market. According to Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Sales, HMIL, company is planning to bring the hatchback in Indian car market during the month of October which means during the arrival of Diwali festival. Mr. Srivastava also added that the hatchback would be priced below Rs. 10 lakh.

In the international market the hatchback is sold through four engine options i.e., 1.6-litre MPi, 1.6-litre GDi, 1.8-litre MPi and a 1.6-litre VGT, all these engines are coated with six speed manual transmission system and also with six speed automatic transmission system. In Indian car market it is speculated that company might offer lower engine configurations. The hatchback was globally unveiled during the Frankfurt International Motor Show 2011 and since then it was one of the highly awaited hatchback in Indian car market. Although during this span of three year the hatchback has underwent few cosmetic changes as well.
In the words of Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, although Hyundai i20 is one of the best selling hatchbacks in the country but still company feels that there is requirement of a premium hatchback and therefore company is going to bring a new hatchback which would be placed above existing i20 and hopefully by the end of this year company might launch it in the market. Moving ahead he also added that i30 in Indian car market will succeed in attracting the audiences due to is luxurious features available at an affordable price range. According to Mr. Srivastava, apart from this the launch of a compact SUV is also in cards of company for next year.
