Hyundai India Commences The Bookings Of Gen-Next i20
Hyundai i20 the premium hatchback by the Korean carmaker Hyundai Motors is all set to move in its second generation during next month. The spies have captured the all-new Hyundai i20 undergoing the test drive on several occasions. Now according to the recent reports, some of the dealers in Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai have started accepting the bookings of the new I20 at their end. The dealers in Mumbai and Delhi are accepting the booking at the down payment of Rs. 25,000, whereas the dealers in Chennai are booking the new i20 at the token amount of Rs. 10,000. The amount will be refunded to the buyers if they wish to cancel their booking. According to the sources of the company, the official bookings for the hatchback will commence by the end of this month.
Under the hood, the new i20 is believed to be offered with three options consisting of two engines in a petrol variant, and one in the diesel variant. The petrol variant will include a 1.2-litre and 1.0-litre turbocharged engines. Whereas the diesel engine will be empowered with a 1.5-litre engine. The transmission duties in all three engines will be offered with an option of manual and automatic systems. In India, it will be placed against Tata Altroz, Toyota Glanza, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Honda Jazz.
On the exterior front, it will receive bigger and sharper looks than the existing version. The front fascia will receive the long grille equipped with a set of LED projector headlamps and the LED DRLS. The other features offered on the exterior are new front bumper ORVMs with LED side indicators, diamond-cut alloy wheels, rear wiper, shark fin antenna, and wraparound LED tail lights with chrome pate and a few more.
Inside the cabin, it will receive an overall black coloured interior treatment, followed by a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, dual airbags, flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, charging sockets, rear air conditioner vents, and BlueLink connected car technology.
