Hyundai recalls more than 8 lakh units of Sonata from U.S Car market
It is reported that Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has recalled 8,83,000 units of Sonata sedan manufactured between December 2009 and May 2014, due to defective transmission system. The problem has been reported on the variants equipped with automatic transmissions system. According to reports the shift cable in automatic transmission system which separates from shift lever is not allowing the drivers to move the gear at required number, this could result in an accident. The car maker has asked the customers to visit their near dealer at the earliest and get the issued rectified free of cost.
It is reported that apart from Sonata the car maker has also recalled 5,650 units of Sonata 2015 from US market to rectify the problem of front brake calipers. According to company sources the defective brake calipers might break and create a serious car crash. The car maker has so far sold out 200 units of Sonata 2015 in US car market.
